Each morning, I have a stretch routine I go through before I can think about starting my day. If I am committed to it and do what I should, I have a better chance for a productive day. If I do not do the routine, my day begins to go down hill about half way through. I find that just as it is with my physical body, life in general is just the same.
Getting my writing career to take off and maintain flight is my goal, but it is not a walk in the park so to speak. In fact, it has been so far, a number of cold starts and engine failures, all because of as I recently discovered, missed steps and poor preparation . It was not that I was lazy or careless, it was ignorance about what I should have and not have done. I had this fairytale dream that I would write this great novel and valor! Instant success! Then I woke up.
Some people have that good fortune, but for the majority of writers, it is just not that easy. Over the next few weeks, I will share with you my journey, and hopefully someone can be helped by my mistakes, as well as those of you who have achieved success, may give some advise along the way.
